Content Management System

Our content management platform “CCMS” is the result of over 5 years of software development and Web building experience. It provides a highly configurable toolkit for building sophisticated Web applications.

Features

Modules

Site Manager:
defines main functionality of the site, structure, meta-data rules, feed formats, style sheet etc.
Users:
allows registration by site visitors and the creation of site administrators and content editors. The user database has a range of on-line management facilities and can be configured to work with pre-existing user registration systems.
Profiles:
used to group content or to create micro-sites. A profile can have a unique look-and-feel and be ‘owned’ by individuals or groups of users, or even other profiles to create a hierarchy of sites within a cCMS installation. Profiles can also be used to create social networking or user generated content sites.
Pages:
allows pages to be created via the Web site
Documents:
used as a central resource library for almost any type of media to be uploaded and then described with meta-data and tagged. Document items can then be used in Web pages and elsewhere in the site, or sent to Web users as RSS feeds or podcasts.
News
a simple form for adding news or blog items. News items can be displayed within the site itself or sent to users via RSS or Atom feeds. The news modules can also be configured to collect news stories from incoming feeds.
Events:
provides tools for creating event listings which can then be shown in lists or on interactive calendars. Can also be fed out or imported as RSS/Atom feeds.
Statistics:
allows the client to measure the performance of their site in terms visitor numbers and pages viewed.
Search:
of the site & related sites.
Navigation:
main and sub-navigation ‘bars’ & for users to see where in the site structure they currently are.
Tag Clouds:
‘tagging’ for all data items (including Documents, News, Events and Pages) and Tag Clouds can be used for site navigation and content filtering.
Discussion Forums:
allows multiple topics areas to be created and provides a full set of administration tools.
Friends:
allows Users and Profiles to quickly link to each other, rate each other and to identify ‘favourites’ (like Facebook & MySpace).
Groups:
allows Users and Profiles to be collected into interest or work groups. Groups can be used to host member-only Forums, share Documents and to share Pages.
Tasks:
an extension to the Events module that allows lists of activities to be managed by individual Users or user Groups. Tasks can be displayed in simple chronological order or in the form of a Gantt Chart.
Mailing Lists:
uses the StreamSend Email Marketing Service to manage opt-in/out self-cleaning mailing lists with guaranteed delivery levels. The service provides also detailed campaign tracking and click-through statistics so you can see how your mailings are performing.
eCommerce:
allows a bespoke product database to be created and managed either via the Web site or through a desktop or back-end database system. The user is then able to add items to a shopping basket and pay using a credit or debit card via a payment gateway of your choice. Orders can be managed via the Web site, with facilities to view an order’s status, see a personal order history and to print invoices.
Contact Manager:
can be used in conjunction with the eCommerce module to manage customer details, or by itself to share and manage contact details via a private or public Group. It can also connect to out Mailing List module to enable the generation of personalised newsletters and mailings.
Business Charts:
makes use of FusionCharts to provide a wide range of great-looking charting and data visualisation tools. Cost-effective licensing options are available.
Google Adsense:
allows clients to quickly add revenue generation for content driven sites with high levels of traffic. Can integrate with other on-line advertising programmes too.
Web TV:
multi-channel live and archive playout of TV content.
eLearning:
a range of interactive online earning packages are available.
RSS/Atom:
allows ‘feeds’ from other Web sites to be regularly read/ displayed
Integration modules
for YouTube / Flickr / Delicious / MySpace / Facebook / Bebo
Google Maps:
allows any location-tagged content to be displayed on a 2D map or aerial photograph.
Widgets:
allow interactive content and functionality to be added to Web pages. Can be restricted for administrator use only, or made available to all Users to customise their Profile pages.
Browser Buttons and Toolbars:
creating custom browser buttons and toolbars for most Web browsers as and when needed.
