Are qualifications required?
Channel 2020 will rigorously search during September and October for individuals that offer outstanding potential. Its not based on any previous experience or qualifications. Students must be between 21-25.
It will depend very much on what area of work students want to specialise in. For this Academy group:
- 1 place will be allocated to camera/lighting/editing work
- 1 place will be offered to interactive media (web, CD & DVD programming & design)
- 1 place will be in production administration
- 1 place will get a broad technical introduction - lighting, sound and digital transfer of media
Each person will have their own detailed schedule of training and projects. They will have a mentor who will guide them through the three months. Assessment, support and guidance will be offered by all of the Academy team.
