The Media Academy offers hope
Most university media courses do not prepare their students for the real work of media production. Over our 15 years of experience, we have always been staggered at the lack of 'hands-on' practical skills young graduates have in using professional production equipment. That's why we have now set up the 2020 Media Academy based at our Leicester office.
Groups of 5 students will undertake an intensive 3 months training programme, fully paid for by Channel 2020. At the end of this period, students will either be offered employment with Channel 2020 (at least 3 places per group of 5 will have guaranteed jobs) or they will be placed within other companies.
Our standards of quality are well known across TV and by many leading companies across Britain and overseas. That's why we only want the best people with the best potential. Our job is to help young people reach their potential in the shortest amount of the time. Not surprisingly, the training will be intense and expectations will be high. All Academy students will learn in real working environments with fully professional equipment - alongside very experienced staff.
